Life in the United States has felt so unbelievable over the last few weeks that it’s been easy to forget all about Kanye West and the many, many ridiculous things he says. Well, that all went out the window last night, as Kanye took some time during his concert in San Jose Thursday to tell the audience that he didn’t vote in the presidential election … but if he did, he would have supported Donald Trump.
It didn’t go over very well.
“If I would have voted, I would have voted on Trump,” Kanye revealed, before quickly being drowned out by a wave of boos from those in attendance. Kanye then launched into a 15 minute political rant, because of course he did. Here’s a thorough play-by-play from music writer Logan Murdock, who was in attendance:

Kanye just stopped the show to say he liked a lot about Trump's campaign, but not necessarily his views. Which ignited more boos.

Kanye just said that Trump's approach was absolutely genius because it worked. Now we're on Flashing Lights.

Incredible sight: blacks, latinos and other minorities left are still dancing to the man who endorsed a candidate that openly despises them.

Chants of "We don't care" in regards to the Trump endorsement have broke out in the stands. People are still cheering for him.

Unsurprisingly, some fans started throwing things at Kanye and some of it hit. This prompted him to threaten to cancel the show.

He finished things off by confirming that he still plans to run for president in 2020. Welcome to age of celebrity presidents, folks; we’re in for a long, strange, soul-crushing ride.
Kanye just said he thinks he'll have the experience in 2020 to run for office, I'm dead serious, Kanye just said he's preparing for 2020.
