The second episode of HBO’s newest show Westworld isn’t supposed to premiere until this Sunday, but the network has surprised many by releasing the episode, titled “Chestnut,” two days early.
The episode is currently available on HBO Now, HBO Go, and HBO On Demand. According to Entertainment Weekly, HBO released the episode early in order to avoid losing viewers to the second presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, which airs this Sunday during Westworld’s 9PM ET time slot.
Last Sunday’s series premiere was the most-watched debut episode of any HBO series since the first season of True Detective back in 2014, so it’s understandable that the network would like to keep the momentum going and not be interrupted by a televised tire fire … err, presidential debate.
If you haven’t checked out the first episode of Westworld yet, HBO recently made it available to non-subscribers. We would highly recommend giving it a watch.
